What is VRS™? The Voter Registration System (VRS)™ is a modular and easy to use system that securely enrolls and identifies voters using biometrics. The VRS™ is a scalable and customizable software that provides the customer with the ability to choose the biometric technology (e.g. Fingerprint, Face, Iris, signature, vain, among others), the ability to have a multi biometric system (i.e. to Identify users using a combination of different biometric methods – per the project requirements), over versatile infrastructure (land and mobile units etc'). The VRS™ provides the ability to print an identity card or simply to a thermal printer. Why do I need it? VRS™ makes it easy to enroll and identify voters using biometrics to verify their identity. It provides a higher level of security in ensuring voters are who they really say they are, and that they are voting in the correct precinct. How does it work? VRS™ provides a set of functions that allow easy enrollment and identification of a voters:
Who uses it? VRS™ is used by corporations, governments, and other entities which need a robust, secure system to enroll and identify voters. VRS™ is a customizable system which can be adapted for any organization's needs.
FEATURESVoter Enrollment The Enrollment screen is where all data on the voter is entered in the system. The operator captures all the information in a customizable form, enrolls the voter's fingerprints and takes two photos. Enrollment generally includes personal information, Identification Characteristics, Voter's pictures, Address, and biometrics (by default it will use fingerprints, but the biometric method can be customized according to the customer's request). Enrollment can be configured in a way that it does not let the operator to save the information until a set of activities are established. These activities include capturing of high resolution fingerprints, minimum number of fingerprints, specific mandatory fields, immediate duplication search within the local database, and near real time duplication search for the entire database, etc. Access control - operator's level
Voter Verification After enrolling the voter, VRSâ„¢ makes it easy to confirm their identity, come Election Day. When the voter presents their fingerprints, VRSâ„¢ will use its powerful search algorithms to look through all the fingerprints, to identify the voter and present all their previously registered information on the screen. This system will positively identify the voter and keep fraud to a minimum. The verification page provides two important functions:
ii. Identification search (1:N, 2:N, 4:N or 10:N) - the system provides the ability to search for a specific identity out of the entire local / central database. Searched can be done also with a combination of biometric trait (e.g. fingerprint) and Identity details (e.g. name / region etc.). Access control - Operator level
Reports The VRSâ„¢ provides a comprehensive reports generation mechanism. The operator can generate a report for all Registered voters, Verified Voters, and Duplicate voters (fraud attempts) by many other parameters including Fingerprint quality, Address parameters, etc'. Administration VRS™ keeps track (Log) of all voter enrollments, verification and operator activities that happen on the system. There is also the option to export these reports for auditing and record keeping requirements. In addition, an administrator has the ability to manage operators (add, change delete etc’). Configuration The configurators have the ability to add / change polling information; adjust security parameters of the biometric engines; as well as maintain strict control to information deciding who can access what portion of the system as well as to change configuration items in VRSâ„¢. Granular control is provided in the Configuration screen so that only select people can modify or delete information. It is also easy to create and maintain the credentials of all operators and administrators in the configuration screen. Â Access control - configurators (Highest level)
